Yes: Some people have type 1 diabetes-autoimmune decrease in production of insulin. Most people have type 2-associated with overweight, production of insulin, but body resistance to it.

Yes you can: While obesity as a comorbidity worsen the condition, many thin people have diabetes as well. There are different types of diabetes type 1 and type 2. Weight may play a part in which form one has, but healthy weight people still do unfortunately get the disease. Diet would help control the disease.

Yes: Classic example is jay cutler from the bears. Although many diabetics with type ii are overweight, others are normal weight. One of the symptoms of diabetes is weight loss.

Yes: There are lean people who have diabetes. Sometimes they've had type i diabetes from childhood, where the pancreas just doesn't produce insulin. Type ii diabetes happens more often in overweight adults because of Insulin resistance.
