Stroke: Sounds like he has had a stroke. The most important thing is his age and also what the mri/ctscan shows. The exam is also very important - is the whole side paralyzed? Is he breathing on his own or on a ventilator? If he is in coma then he is probably on a ventilator and cannot move or breathe on his own and this is not good.
