Degree of damage: Most gastritis is diffuse inflammation and irritation of the stomach lining; erosive gastritis tells us that the same tissue is being damaged or eroded. This is more serious and may take longer to deal with. It is important to take the medication prescribed. It is also unwise to smoke, drink alcohol as well as eating acidic foods and any other foods that irritate and cause pain and/or that your do.
