Is it safe to use nitrous oxide during labor?

Nitrous: Nitrous is used much in europe and england for very effective analgesia during labor. It is generally regarded as safe. In the us, however, it has not gained the traction similar to such modalities as epidural anesthesia. While no one method is 100% safe, nitrous is considered as safe as an epidural or administration of an IV narcotic. In the us, we need more clinical trials.

Ask your Dr.: I would not recommend it, but i would consult your dr. Even though nitrous oxide is fairly safe, don't take chances!
