Short answer yes: Long answer is that for most dental procedures you do not need to another another drug/med to the mix if not really needed. As an anesthesiologist i would not have (make that never) have nitrous oxide delivered in a dental office. Unless it is given by someone trained in using that gas and the proper monitors are used one can get by with local and a little sedation.
