No: Reference ranges are set so that several percent of healthy folks fall outside for each value. Mpv is famously variable and like rdw, if you feel well probably a value outside reference range means nothing. I trust you are not marginally iron-deficient (how's the stomach post-surgery?) or have missed thal-minor, itself a non-problem.

No not at all: If your CBC is normal, these two values have little significance. I would ignore them but make sure your hb, WBC and platelet counts are normal.
