Okay so far: Please forgive my frankness. As a pathologist and lab specialist, I'm always reminding people that lab numbers mean nothing apart from history and physical. Further, you haven't included the hemoglobin / hematocrit. We've got the red cell parameters etc. without even knowing whether Mom is anemic. She needs to discuss this with her physician, or you if you are her health care proxy.
