Confusing question: Penicillin can be administered to people iv. Treatment in this fashion would not achieve the sustained blood levels of antibiotic for the recommended 10 days needed to kill the germ and stop formation of antibodies that could cause complications. A single dose if long acting penicillin given into both buttocks can do the job if the patient is willing. It keeps blood levels up
