I began penicillin treatment for strep throat this morning. is there anything i can do to expedite my healing? it is very painful.

Additional therapy: Force fluids x 8-10 glasses/day: 50% electrolyte rich fluids, 50% clear broth, bullion, consume .Warm water gargles, nasal saline mist, hot tea and honey, Hot steam showers, Cold- Eze Lozenges( zinc), Tylenol (acetaminophen) 1-2 TABLETS every 4-6 hours as needed for fever greater than 100. Tea with dark brown honey

Strep throat: Please take the antibiotic as directed. For the sore throat can alos gargle 3 x a day with salt water 1 tsp salt in glass of water as salt has antibacterial effect. Cepachol lozenges which are over the counter may help it has menthol so take only as directed and do not take more. Take the antibiotic. F/u and discuss with your doctor
