A member asked:

What is the probability of a child getting type 1 diabetes if both parents do not have it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unpredictable: I guess that it is the same chance as anyone else. Type 1 is uncommon in children and comes on later in life depending on how much is genetic and how much may be viral in nature.
