A member asked:

Painless lumps on both sides of neck, from past one month which are growing slowly. age:22, female. will that results in cancer. worried. please help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neck lumps : Most lumps on neck are due to inflamed lymph nodes which most of the time are of benign nature. Infections can cause this type of reaction and they usually resolve on their own or after infection has resolved. Lymph nodes that persist, are hard and do not move need to be checked more closely. If that is the case a visit to the ENT is recommended.
