Hello. : Hello. Cannot make a diagnosis through this venue. Although there can be swollen lymph nodes in that area; 1.5 inches in diameter would be much larger than expected. If it was a fatty tumor, would not expect it to have noticeable growth over ten days. If it is red, hot and tender, it could be an infected cyst. I agree with the doctor who examined you. If it becomes painful, red, hot, more swollen or there is swelling or heat in the surrounding area or you get an associated fever than you need to get it rechecked.
