You need to be exami: Likely not. Could be subacute thyroiditis. However you need to be examined and seen by an endocrinologist

It is abnormal: Any growth in the Thyroid gland requires evaluation and, if needed, a biopsy. It can be due to a benign goiter, yet we can not rule out Thyroid cancer without additional studies like Ultrasound and or Radioisotope Thyroid scan. Go seek opinion from an Endocrinologist .
