No: we can all do with less simple sugar in our diet. There might be less diabetes with less consumption of highly processed sugar. Complex carbohydrates does get broken down to sugars that we need for energy and they are the best source of sugar that we need. It comes from fresh fruits, legumes, beans, and whole grains.
