Back problems: A bulging disc can cause more pain during pregnancy as your body changes and the low back curves inward to compensate for a growing belly. Women with disc issues will often need to discuss epidurals with an anesthesiologist prior to labor in order to sure one can be done. There are other pain management options as well. The disc itself will not usually be a reason to avoid a vaginal delivery.
