Sure but...: I wouldn't advise it, either for your temporary veneers or the rest of your body.

No: If you are having porcelain veneers placed then you must have concern about wanting a more attractive smile. Smoking will discolor the plastic temporary veneers but it will also discolor around the edges of the permanent veneers which is where the natural tooth comes together with the veneer. Also, as the previous dr. Stated, your much healthier without the damage to your body and health without.

Only: Only if you want to stain the temporaries and the teeth next to the restorations. If smoking turns your teeth brown what is it doing to your lungs? If you're looking for someone to tell you that smoking is ok, you won't find that approbation here.

Yes, but will stain: Smoking should not effect the integrity of your temporary veneers. However, their acrylic composition will absorb the smoke and will rapidly darken. Also, if you undertook whitening prior to your teeth being prepped for veneers, your lab constructed porcelain veneers may end up being lighter than your natural teeth. Word of caution: your temps are made to cleanly "breakaway." watch what you eat!
