Mindfulness: Meditation is a form of meditation taught in hospitals, clinics, and workshops, and has no religious connection. It teaches the person to be aware of what is happening w/out stressing or evaluating. This is especially helpful for pain management. Mental body scans and breathing can be part of this. Many studies support the physical and mental health benefits of meditation. See jon kabat-zinn.
