Complex / expensive: The simple answer is no. That is intercourse will not be how he father's a child. Assisted reproduction will be required, where sperm are extracted from the testicle and then used to fertilize an egg in a lab (unless sperm was banked before surgery). Using donor sperm, adoption or deciding not to have children are other options.

Yes: There is the risk of impotency or retrograde ejaculation from prostate surgery. If there is is no hormonal therapy given and if sperm production and ejaculation can occur then the patient could still father a child.

Not naturally: Prostate surgery results on retrograde ejaculation into the bladder, therefore the man is unlikely to be able to impregnate a woman in the conventional way, it is likely that fertility experts can collect the semen and allow the man to father a child through in-vitro fertilization.

Yes: Two options: 1. If you are able to ejaculate and produce reasonable level of sperm you may conceive naturally. 2. If you are not able to ejaculate or very poor sperm from your ejaculation, you may conceive through ivf, the sperm can be collected from your epidydimus or testicle.
