Left hemisphere: Left hemisphere lesions ( 95% of right-handers and 70% of left-handers) in the premotor cortex or the superior temporal gyrus can lead to language disturbance but that is usually leads to more consistent disturbances than the occasional difficulty in retrieving words. There are many connections between these areas as well as other areas. Occasional poor retrieval is considered within normal limits
