Anxiety and brain: There isn't a part of the brain that causes anxiety disorders. When one gets anxious, the limbic system is activated, and may lose contact with the prefrontal cortex. The limbic system activates the cerebellum-brainstem area, which activates the body. All this feeds back to the brain, which keeps one in anxious mode. Does that answer it, or can you be more specific in your question?
