Dopamine: It is probably an oversimplification to say that they both increase Dopamine and that is why it works. However, there is likely a strong relationship with changes in synaptic Dopamine levels and attention seen in the context of both nicotine exposure and methylphenidate administration. Research from duke supports this. Smoking may be bad for health although it increases attention. Stay safe!
