Yes: 1000-1200 calories is probably the minimum to go on a diet. You want to take in enough calories to make sure you are getting all your nutrients. Vegetables are a great source of nutrients that are low in calories. Eating alot of vegetables is one way to lose weight because they are filling, providing many nutrients while on a diet.
