Yes: Singulair or montelukast is an asthma medication which is also used for allergic rhinitis (allergic runny nose). Studies show it is more effective than antihistamines alone but not as effective as intranasal steroids. It can be combined with antihistamines which can improve its effectiveness. Singulair can be taken by inhaler or orally but should be taken daily since it takes a few days to work.
