A member asked:

Would my gp take a blood test just because i want to know my blood type?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but...: Just getting blood typing done without a medical issue is fine to do, but should be paid for by the curious patient (there are probably better things to do with that cash). Many people can donate blood, such as at a high school blood drive, and learn their blood types when they donate... Helping other people in need, learning one's blood type, and snacking on orange juice and cookies with friends!
