Bells palsy: It's quite common to have some mild residual weakness of the facial muscles after recovering from bells palsy. Because the muscles are not being worked as much, then it can definitely cause them to shrink in size. This will cause that side of your face to look a bit smaller than the other. This is probably permanent.
