Inflammation uterus: Chronic endometritis is inflammation of the uterus and endometrial lining. It might be associated with heavy or light menstrual flows, and occasionally inter-menstrual spotting. A severely affected endometrium may prevent implantation of an embryo and therefore is a cause of infertility.

Uterine lining: Its a chronic inflammation of the uterine lining. It is diagnosed through office endometrial biopsy. It may cause spotting and may prevent implantation. Its relationship to infertility is controversial. One would consider testing for after repeat ivf failure after replacing apparently good quality embryos.
