Cause of itching and popping in my ear?

2 different problems: Itching in the ear canal is usually caused by dryness and if you are a q-tip user, please stop immediately. Ear wax has an important function and will clean itself. Popping sensation in the ear is separate and is usually an awareness of air entering the middle ear from the back of the nose and a gentle popping of the ear drum. Rarely, popping can be due spasm of middle ear muscles.
