You could get a prescription, however, in many cases this will settle with Vosol drops (acetic acid) which you can buy without a prescription. 4 x daily for 1 week. It is important to keep your ear(s) dry [cotton wool for shower + hair dryer after, no swimming]

Eczema in ear?: Eczema (dermatitis) in the ear canal is quite common. The corticosteroid component of the kenocomb helps to settle it. Sometimes it can be complicated by a bacterial or fungal infection. I'd get it checked by your GP again if it's a recurring problem. Your doctor may need to take an ear swab to look for the causing organism in case of an infection.
