Post nasal drip: Most of the time post nasal drip is caused by rhinitis which could be allergic, reactive to environmental changes among other causes. Depending on the cause of symptoms is the treatment of choice. If it is associated with allergy a prescribed nasal steroid or antihistaminic oral meds( like benadryl, (diphenhydramine) Claritin for example) can help. He should be evaluated by his pcp to decide adequate treatment.
