Myths: No. That would be a false myth. You need to hydrate and your body needs nutrition to recover. Do not fast in this situation.

Probably not true: You most likely vomited because of a combination of marijuana and gluten in the brownie. In one of my patients with that situation, i would probably recommend a mostly liquid diet for a day or two, and then gradually reintroduce a more normal, gluten free diet. You generally shouldn't eat much right after vomiting, because you will probably vomit again.

Clear, non-alcoholic: And non-caffeinated beverages for 8-12 hours slowly re-introducing solid foods thereafter should be sufficient. Might want to reconsider your ingestion, or inhalation of marijuana unless there is a true medical indication and you happen to live in a state which recognizes the medical use of marijuana.
