Varicose veins: Possuibly varicose veins in the scrotum 2nd to hernia repair it should be checked out by the surgeon who dis your repair or at least some doctor.

See your surgeon: Pain one year after a hernia repair is not normal. The pain for 8 months in the area of the veins above the testicle is not normal either and may be related to tightness of the repair around the cord and vessels to the testicle. You need a careful exam by your surgeon and his explanation as to the likely cause and suggestions for a resolution. It could be related to mesh that was likely used.
