A member asked:

Do obgyns routinely check for vitamin d levels? currently 25w and have told my docs about my diet and multivitamins (400 mcg) and no concern or tests

Some do: Some ob/gyn act as primary care physicians. In any case your vitamin d level is slightly low and you may wish to take vitamin d3 supplement. You can safely take about 2000 units/day.

Vitamin D/ Pregnancy: We do not routinely check vitamin d levels in pregnancy. If you have a history of vitamin d deficiency and are being treated for this i would talk to your doctor so it can be followed.
