Benign problem: When diplopia (double vision) clears up after a few minutes, it signifies that the problem is a benign one. If it recurs, see an ophthalmologist to be sure that no serious problem is present. At the moment, since the double vision has gone, your ophthalmonogist is unlikely to indentify any problem.

Double vision: Double vision can be a sign of a serious disorder or can occur from the eye muscles just getting tired. Please see an ophthalmologist as soon as possible.
