Yes: Crps (complex regional pain syndrome) can be very miserable and hard to treat. There are no real downsides to using a topical lidocaine. It shouldn't be left on more then 12 hours at a time. It has been hard to get plans to cover it, but that seems to be loosening up. It is great when it works. There are compounded topical rx with multiple types of pain modulators that can be tried.
