Talk to specialist!: Talk to a therapist or psychiatrist about this. Be as open and honest as possible. So many related factors and nuances need to be evaluated and assessed to answer this very important questions. However, please seek help even if only for the self-inflicted injury! that by itself is worth looking at!

Self Abuse: If you are abusing yourself you are suffering and probably desperately trying to resolve your negativity toward yourself. Please seek a mental health professional immediately or go to your nearest emergency room and ask for a mental health evaluation. Before your mood becomes worse take the chance many have taken in your postion and have been helped. Best.
