If i have prostate cancer, what are the chances of spreading the cancer with a prostate biopsy?

Virtually none: The only way to confirm prostate cancer is through a biopsy. Prostate needle biopsies are most often done transrectally and there is not been any evidence of spread of prostate cancer to the rectal wall or other tissues by doing this type of biopsy technique.
