Foot drop after successful scoliosis correction surgery. still feels her feet. 16 year old. what is it? how long till it goes away and how?

It may not go away: Need to find out if had anything to do with the surgery...Or if developed the foot drop and why......I would see a neurologist and have emg/ncv tests performed.
