Fibular fracture: The change from extra to intra articular fracture is likely that the radiologist read your radiography and someone else (surgeon) read them or observed the fracture in surgery and made a different call. The surgeons call is the one that i would stand on. This is not cause to point fingers or cause distraction. The important thing is to get the ankle fixed and back to life. Good luck.

Xray views may vary: Radiographs taken on separate days may variably reveal different subtle fracture lines because of slight variations in image angle, especially if the fracture line is truly nondisplaced.

What is the level fx: Intra articulation means within a joint. So I am assuming that it is ankle joint that is involved. Could have been miss interpreted.
