Yes, ...: The usual initial urine test is done with chem-strip. If significant blood is noted, a microscopic urinalysis should be done. In most of labs, such a sequence of tests is standard. If microscopic UA confirm >3-5 red blood cells on spun urine specimen, further evaluation with CT.IVP + cystoscopy is usually required, but not always and yet, individualized. Details?
