Great tool: Meditation has been shown to decrease pain even with a short amount of training. A recent study describes four, 20 minute instructions resulted in reduced activation in areas of the brain associated with emotional responses to pain (functional mri) there was a self reported decrease in pain as well. Close your eyes, focus on breathing, let go any distractions w/o judgement & gently refocus&breath.
