11+ days: The luteal phase starts after ovulation and is 14 days by the textbook. We usually think that the minimum length is about 11 days. To determine the length, you need to accurately know the day of ovulation, as many times a day can make the difference between normal & abnormal. You need an accurate diagnosis to prevent unnecessary and thus ineffective treatment. Best wishes.
