My luteal phase fluctuates between 10-14 days. is this normal? everyone says it should always be 14 days. been ttc for 10 months now. should i worry?

How calculated?: How are you calculating your luteal phase? 14 days is definitely normal and a short or inadequate luteal phase can be a cause of infertility. To check, an endometrial biopsy can be done in the luteal phase to see if that dating coincides with your calendar dating. Good luck.

Partially right: The L phase is belived physiologically to be less variable for the individual female but vary among females (12-16 days). It's hard to calculate. Because Follicular phase is variable. It is calculated when you get your period or by finding the exact day of ovul. Short L phase can cause infertility. Follow with PCP for evaluation and possible referral(usually after 12 mo of trying).Hope this helped
