Wisdom teeth: If the wisdom teeth are completely erupted and function in chewing and you can maintain them in good health then they do. To need to be removed. However if they are not then they will cause problems at some point and you should have them removed.

Wisdom teeth: Used to fit in our mouths millions of years ago. Since then our brains have gotten bigger and our jaws have gotten smaller so for many people they do not fit. If they fit allow them to come in. If they don't fit have them extracted. Your dentist can help decide the right choice for you.

Doesn't equate: Presence or absence of pain is fortunate, but not determinative of wisdom tooth viability. Position, angulation, surrounding gum health, and many other factors. Ust be evaluated. Ask your dentist to examine them at your next regular check-up. Hopefully you will be one of those fortunate enough to not have a wisdom tooth problem.
