Scleral Icteris: Yellowing of the whites of the eyes is not normal. Liver disease causes a higher concentration of bilirubin in the blood causing the color change. It they look like circular deposits it can be high concentration of cholesterol that has deposited around the eye. It is advisable to stay away from alcohol and try to modify diet to low cholesterol.
