Yellow eye discharge: If your 2 month old baby has recently developed eye discharge and tearing she may has an eye infection. But if she had those symptoms on and off since birth, she may has a blocked tear duct. Fortunately, nearly all blocked tear ducts open on their own, usually by the time the child is 1 year old. A physician needs to determine if your baby will need antibiotic eye drops or just observation.
