Mood Stabilizer: There are several medications which are mood stabilizers and each have their pros and cons. Some medications work better than others in certain areas such as depression, mania, suicidal thoughts and impulsivity. Bipolar: Lithium is one of many mood stabilizers used to treat bipolar do. Other possibilities include depakote, lamictal, tegretol, trileptal, seroquel, abilify, (aripiprazole) etc.
