Acne topical creams: I recommend starting with topical acne prescriptions which may include benzoyl peroxide, a topical antibiotic, or a retinoid such as Retin A, (tretinoin) Differin, or Tazorac or in combination. If not effective, oral antibiotics may be used and sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim is not listed as a major caution he tetracyline antibiotics may affect the blood level of lithium and should be used with caution.
