I'm doing good but i'm trying to take the lowest possible meds. i'm bipolar1 and take lithium&olanzapine. going to try only lithium longterm. bad idea?

YES!: The worse (and most common) mistake BIPOLAR patients make is stopping/changing their medications without their TREATING HEALTH PROFESSIONAL'S ADVICE! STAY ON YOUR MEDS...IF IT AIN"T BROKE.....DON'T FIX IT! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

Agree with Dr Z, don't mess with success. Your zeal to modify your medication is actually part of the reason why you have been prescribed these. If your doctor suggests changes, comply, but do NOT solitarily rearrange what appears to be a successful treatment program. Discuss all of these considerations with your doctor.
