Any trigger point injections for cervical spine disc herniation?

Typically not: Trigger point injections are best used for spasm and pain in the muscle. If the pain is originating from a cervical disc herniation, the trigger point is usually not successful, and even when it is, rarely gives any lasting relief.

See pain specialist: Trigger point injections generally have little or no benefit for this issue. Targeted injections may help. See an interventional pain specialist.
