Leishmaniasis: Leishmaniasis /is a disease caused by protozoan parasites and spread by the bite of sandflies the disease can present as cutaneous, mucocutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis.The cutaneous form presents with skin ulcers, the mucocutaneous with ulcers of skin, mouth and nose, and the visceral with skin ulcers and then with fever, low red blood cells, and a large spleen and liver. All due to same bug.
